Happy New Year - A Fabulous Colour Palette for 2015

Happy New Year! And welcome back to Bride de Force! For me 2015 inspires warmth, depth and richness... a perfect combination to work into your Big Day. By working subtle glowing colours into your Wedding colour palette you will create a warm and welcoming reception whilst looking both fabulous and sophisticated.
Think of warm gold tones and introductions of other metallics such as pewter and brass...
Add atmosphere with lighting...
Arrange a wall of brass mirrors...
And collections of candle sticks, vases...
It is all in the smaller detail too... perhaps gold rimmed glassware and cutlery...
Tie the theme in with rose gold art deco look stationery too...
Subtle elements could also be added to your Wedding dress or your bridesmaid dresses. I absolutely love these Freya Rose shoes.

Flowers in burned oranges and dusty pinks... and adding height and drama works so well with this theme.

Katrina and Travis Get Married at RiverMist

Winter weddings are beautiful.
The air is cool but still nice enough to be outside.
Time for the I Do's.
 Exchanging rings.
And sealing the promises with a kiss.

Katrina, the happy Bride.
And Travis, the happy Groom.
Even happier TOGETHER.
No one know what lies ahead. But these two know it will be...
Happily Ever After...

NC Wedding - Stephanie and Scottie

Scottie looks relaxed doesn't he? I'll tell you a little secret.
This photo was taken after the wedding ceremony.
Now, we'll go back to the beginning...
Waiting for the bride and groom.
Love the blue and orange colors.
Unity Sand
Turned out beautifully.
Stephanie and Scottie had fun with my props.
Rings, a symbol of promises made.
Private (almost) First Dance.
Wonderful wedding day.

Tom and Mary Jane - Fall wedding at RiverMist

Tom and Mary Jane wanted to get married outside but was a little concerned about a November wedding. As it turned out the weather was absolutely perfect for their fall wedding.
I watched from the deck as the guests arrived. Several people had traveled from Florida for this special day.
Walking to the covered bridge.
I think everyone had a camera.
"Mary Jane and Tom, you have known each other from the first glance of acquaintance to this point of commitment. At some point, you decided to marry. From that moment of yes to this moment of yes, indeed, you have been making promises and agreements in an informal way....."
From "Union by Robert Fulghum
What a special ring bearer. Notice the bouquet.
How nice to include canine family.
Beautiful engagement ring.
And the happy family.
Lovely Bride.
And a guest insisted on this photo.
So nice to be surrounded by people who love you.
What a great start for a marriage.

Benediction of the Apaches
Now you will feel no rain,
For each of you will be shelter to the other.
Now you will feel no cold,
For each of you will be warmth to the other.
Now there is no more loneliness for you.
For each of you will be companion to the other.
Now you are two bodies,
But there is only one Life before you.
Go now to your dwelling place,
To enter into the days of your togetherness.
And may your days be good and long upon the earth.
